BNB is the native cryptocurrency of the BNB Chain ecosystem, which grew out of Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges. It first appeared in July 2017 as “Binance Coin,” launched through an initial coin offering as a token on the Ethereum network.
